Recently, I had the chance to try out a new WordPress plugin called Moteraku. The core idea behind this plugin is simple but interesting: it lets you take HTML and CSS code — generated by AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini — and paste it directly into a page, without being restricted by your site’s existing theme. In other words, instead of fighting with your theme’s built-in styles or digging into custom template files, you can just drop in a block of code and have it render independently. For anyone who occasionally needs a page that looks completely different from the rest of the site, this sounded like a useful shortcut, so I decided to give it a proper test on my own site.
Great Points
- It’s genuinely easy to use when you want to build a single standalone page from scratch that sits outside your theme’s design.
- The form functionality is a nice surprise — most of the critical fields and functions work right out of the box, without extra setup.
Problems Encountered
- Multi-language Support
The plugin doesn’t support multi-language sites. This applies both to the admin panel itself and to the language settings for individual posts, so if you’re running a multilingual site, you’ll need to manage each language version manually — which adds friction for admins.
- Preview Alignment
The preview area has an alignment issue — the header ends up cut off or hidden, which made it harder to check how the page would actually look before publishing.
- Bulk Site Generation
I didn’t get a chance to fully test this feature, but I noticed that the item list for generation didn’t show all of the existing pages on my site, so it may not be fully reliable yet.
Suggestion
It would be great if a shortcode could be assigned to any page. That way, each page could function like a freely designed block, and you could easily insert it into any existing page just by dropping in the shortcode — much more flexible than the current workflow.
Summary
Overall, Moteraku is a handy plugin if you occasionally need to add a special page or a one-off campaign page that doesn’t fit your existing theme. That said, while the plugin does integrate with AI API calls for in-editor generation, given how infrequently most people would need this feature, it’s probably more practical to just copy and paste the generated code directly from your AI tool of choice, rather than paying for the API usage.

良かった点
- テーマのデザインから外れた単独ページをゼロから作りたい場合、非常に使いやすいです。
- フォーム機能は嬉しい驚きで、主要な項目や機能のほとんどが追加設定なしでそのまま利用できます。
気になった点
- 多言語対応
このプラグインは多言語サイトに対応していません。これは管理画面自体だけでなく、各投稿の言語設定にも当てはまるため、多言語サイトを運営している場合は、各言語版を手動で管理する必要があり、管理者にとって手間が増える点です。
- プレビューのレイアウトずれ
プレビュー画面にレイアウトのずれがあり、ヘッダー部分が見切れて表示されない状態になったため、公開前の見た目確認がしづらく感じました。
- サイト一括生成
この機能についてはしっかりとテストできませんでしたが、生成対象の項目一覧に、サイト内の既存ページがすべて表示されていないことに気づきました。そのため、まだ完全には安定していない可能性があります。
提案
任意のページにショートコードを割り当てられるようになると嬉しいです。そうすれば、各ページが自由に作られたブロックのように機能し、ショートコードを使って既存のページに簡単に挿入できるようになるため、現在の運用方法よりもかなり柔軟になると思います。
まとめ
全体として、Motorakuは既存のテーマに合わない特別なページや、単発のキャンペーンページを追加したいときに便利なプラグインです。ただし、エディタ内でのAI API呼び出し機能も統合されていますが、使用頻度を考えると、API利用料を支払うよりも、AIツールから生成結果を直接コピー＆ペーストする方が実用的かもしれません。
